Any student or class may get a tour of the library, or a tutorial session, to learn the best ways to efficiently find good information. Call the Reference & Bibliographic Instruction Librarian at extension 4092 to make arrangements.
Millions of full text journal articles are available through the Library’s online resources. The “Online Resources” tab at top left of this page will link to these resources, and many more. Did you know you can also get audio and video files here?
Borrow books and return them at the Circulation Desk! Also get access to materials that are on Reserve, get a copy card, reserve the conference room, or ask general questions. The Circulation Desk is just inside the front door.
The small conference room, able to seat about 20 people, may be reserved for meetings or classes. The room is equipped with a TV, VCR-DVD player, projector, and whiteboard. A small office-sized room is also available for 1-3 people. Reserve either of these rooms at the Circulation Desk.

Anyone who needs information, but doesn’t know how or where to find it, may ask either the Librarian or Library Assistant in Reference. The Reference Collection, at the top of the stairs past the Circulation Desk, includes many directories, encyclopaedias, and other specialized reference materials. In addition, the Vertical Files, Bermudiana Collection, and Rare Books have valuable reference resources.
Professors may put material for a class on Reserve to restrict access and limit the amount of time it may be used. Access Reserve materials at the Circulation Desk.
Full-time students may borrow up to 6 books, and others may borrow 3 books. Loans, except for faculty, are limited to 3 weeks.
Many popular magazines and journals, and a variety of newspapers are available in the print Periodicals Collection. These can be found in the lower reading area, where large windows, comfortable seating, and a relaxing environment allow for a break between classes to catch up on news or current events.
